Grateful: 1982 #XD31

Being born in the 1980s had its advantages. Cursive writing was still being taught in school. Granted, I had computer classes in elementary school, but pen and paper were my learning tools. I had awesome teachers  who taught me life skills not based on standardized tests. Floppy disks were ginormous (giant+enormous). Children actually played outside. Letters were written to correspond with loved ones. Technology took a backseat to family time.

I’m so grateful for having the memories of growing up at a time when a kid was a kid. Under no circumstances would I trade that for the world.

Good times.
